Players, we are here to help.
As a 15-year veteran of the NHL, Keith Primeau, played with the Detroit Red Wings, Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes and most notably the Philadelphia Flyers where he acted as Captain from 2001 to 2006. Primeau suffered 4 documented concussions during his playing career. During his 9th game of the 2005-06 season with the Flyers, Primeau suffered a concussion after a hit from Montreal’s Alexander Perezhogin which ended his career. As a result of ongoing post-concussion syndrome, he officially announced his retirement on September 14, 2006. Through his experience with concussions and the lasting effects of them we are able to help in dealing with concussions and post-concussion syndrome.
Keith and Kerry Goulet created stopconcussions.com to help educate the cause, effects and consequences of concussions. Stopconcussions.com is here for all players and will help in the management of their concussions. Please utilize the forum or the pro player section so that we can help you, your child or your loved one. You are also able to contact Kerry Goulet email@example.com.
“The only real good advice I can give is if you don’t feel right, you’re probably not right. Your career is a short period of time and your life is a lot longer. Education through programs like Play it Cool and stopconcussions.com is the only way we can attack this issue!”
