Complex Case Management with Cervical Treatment Considerations
This course offers an in-depth review of the literature on cervicogenic contributions to concussion symptoms and post concussion syndrome. We offer treatment and rehabilitation considerations for cervical injury and whiplash in concussion patients. As well, we will review complex case management topics such as persistent post-traumatic headache, psychological sequelae in post concussion syndrome, and activity/exercise intolerance. In this course we emphasize strategies for seeking out an interdisciplinary team for complex case management and offer information on making appropriate referrals for complex care needs. This information is applicable for those who work with athletes and sport-related concussion as well as those working with the general population and non sport-related concussion.
